Patients and family are encouraged to visit Toowong Private Hospital prior to admission. Please contact the Director of Clinical Services on (07) 3721 8000 to arrange a convenient time.
What to bring:
- Personal toiletries and nightwear
- Casual day wear and gym-fitness clothes
- Regular medications. Health insurance fund details with membership book/card
- All pension, DVA and concession cards (including SNEC for the pharmacy)
- Contact lenses, glasses and other remedial aids.

Motor Vehicle Parking
Car parking facilities are situated at the Cadell Street entrance (see Hospital and Locality Map). If you leave your car on the premises whilst an inpatient:
- it is the Hospital policy that your car keys be handed to staff and secured for safe-keeping
- the decision to allow you access to your car and keys is dependent on your clinical presentation and in consultation with your psychiatrist, and is conditional on you returning your keys immediately on your return.
- the Hospital cannot ensure on-site parking for your vehicle
- patients are requested not to park in 'Doctors Only' designated parking bays.
- the designated Disabled Parking space is for drop-off and pick-up only. Inpatients with Disabled Parking permits are not to park in these parking bays.
The Hospital discourages patients from driving and leaving their vehicles here while an inpatient. If driving, patients do so at their own risk and agree that cars are parked at their own risk without any responsibility on the part of the Hospital for loss or damage to vehicles or persons.
