During You Stay

Welcome to Toowong Private Hospital. This information is designed to provide you with general information regarding the Hospital and its services to assist you in your treatment. Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask your Care Coordinator, the Inpatient Services Manager or the Day Programs Manager.

An information pack including this information will be provided to you upon admission.

Confidentiality

It is the policy of Toowong Private Hospital that employees, consultants and contractors observe strict confidentiality of patient and clinical information at all times and this is acknowledged through the signing of a Confidentiality Agreement.

Drugs, Alcohol and Illicit Substances

The bringing in, use and/or storage of any of these items in the Toowong Private Hospital, or its grounds, by patients, visitors or staff and other contracted personnel is expressly forbidden.

Mail

Incoming mail is delivered to Reception (generally around 10am Monday to Friday) and you can collect your post from there. Stamps and postage can also be organised at Reception if you have mail to post.

Patients' and Carers' rights and responsibilities

Toowong Private Hospital recognises and acknowledges that all patients have important rights and responsibilities, and that families and non-professional carers contribute to the support and care of people with mental health problems and mental disorders.

A full statement is available from staff. Should you have any questions regarding any parts of these statements do not hesitate to discuss them with a member of the clinical staff or your doctor.

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted inside any of the Hospital buildings. Smoking is permitted in the upstairs and downstairs courtyards within the designated areas.
